Owasso Community Resources was founded in 1994 with the primary goal of coordinating volunteerism in the Owasso area. As the City has grown to a population over 30,000, OCR has grown to meet its expanding needs. The mission of OCR:  Dedicated to building a strong community through youth and family counseling, community assistance and life enrichment education.

Each year, OCR assists area residents with counseling referrals and financial help with emergency utility, food and prescription needs through donated funds and a FEMA allocation. In addition, free life enrichment education classes are taught by local professionals on a variety of topics including household budgeting, employment and stress management.

Annual OCR activities include the Back to School Supply Bash where last year 1,392 students were given school supplies, Thanksgiving meal deliveries and the Giving Tree that hosted 636 Owasso angels under the age of 14 last year.

OCR is a 501c3 agency that is funded by private, corporate and TAUW donations. All services offered by OCR are free of charge to Owasso area residents. For more information, contact the web site at www.owassohelps.com.
